The Viviane Esders Endowment Fund is pleased to announce the opening of the call for applications for the third edition of the Prix Viviane Esders.

If you are a European photographer over 60 years old, if you wish to highlight a singular artistic and photographic career developed over several decades, you have until April 29th 2024 to submit your application.

The prize is awarded annually to a professional European photographer over 60 years old, who is independent and still active.

In January 2022, Viviane Esders - collector and photography expert - launched the first edition of the Prix Viviane Esders. The 60 000€ grant is awarded for 50 000€ for an already recognised career, which now deserves to be emphasised and to be more clearly inscribed in the history of photography, and for 5 000€ for the two other finalists.

The call for applications is open until April 29th 2024 !

The jury will meet in June 2024 to select the three nominated photographers who will be announced in June. The winning photographer will be announced in October and receive his/her prize in November during Paris Photo.

The three nominated photographers who have caught the attention of the jury will have the opportunity, for several months, to be highlighted and to see their work in the spotlight.
