"Parque Natural Codina"
EL Parque Natural Codina, sSegún opiniones de los investigadores Claribel Suárez Pérez, Ildefonso Orrantia Cárdenas, Alejandro Díaz Medina y Rolando Hurtado Escalante, desde el punto de vista de las formaciones vegetales Codina presenta un Bosque siempreverde mesófito secundario.
Consideran que existe gran diversidad faunística, con alto endemismo, donde se incluye una parcela de estudio de diversidad florística dirigida por el Instituto Forestal.
Precisan en el articulo titulado El manejo de la flora para la restauración ecológica en áreas protegidas de Tope de Collantes, que el área es objeto de conservación y ha experimentado diferentes cambios a lo largo de la historia, pues el área fue totalmente talada; hoy se encuentra en recuperación, con gran estabilidad de sus ecosistemas por la recuperación de las plantaciones experimentada a partir de los ańos 60, atendiendo a la alta fragilidad.
